Before there was a Sonny and Carly, Jason and Sam , or Lucky and Elizabeth  GH's most legendary couple was Luke and Laura, in the beginning their start wasn't the greatest, and from Luke's own admission during his Dissassociative Identity Disorder mental break down he admitted that raping Laura was not the best way to get her to be with him.

He acknowledged that he felt horrible about what he did but people tried to say that he tried to to sell it as the greastest love story ever told, perhaps it wasn't , but however Laura has this special gift of finding it in her heart to forgive people for whatever it is that they've done to her.

She's a special lady and as a fan for eons I can see why he fell in love with her in ther first place.

35 years ago, Luke and Laura got married and from various sources their wedding got higher ratings than the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

It goes to show their Popularity was on a high with 30 million viewers tuning into their wedding

As long as I can remember from those times on the show Luke and Laura were the ones that drew me in to watch the show. They made me laugh and made me cry,but they made me excited to run home from the bus stop every day to watch their adventures.

They paved the way for so many GH couples who came after them. but still although they are no longer together, Luke and Laura stand out for me as one of the best GH couples ever.

Despite their rocky start, their even rockier life together, the kidnappings, the births of their kids, the lies and the deceptions , they still remain one of the shows favourite couples of all time.

Everyone loves a bit of drama, and you would be left bored if Luke and Laura didn't have a roller coaster of a relationship, but with that being said , even when time passes, they will always come together and stand together as one.
