The Floating Rib is the place that everyone in Port Charles goes to to unwind from a hard day's work.

It is owned by Luke Spencer and his family, and has been at the centre of some pretty cool storylines.

Formerly known as Jake's  the floating Rib as it happens was the place where Jason met three of the women in his life, Carly , Elizabeth and Sam.

Jason met Carly there in 1996, he first set eyes on her though when he spotted her across the room putting some money in the juke box, and started gyrating to Melissa Ethridge's song I'm the only one.

They had a few sex sessions upstairs in his room above the watering hole, and its where  Jason saved Elizabeth from being man handled by an under cover cop who tried to take her home with him.

Shocking though as it may be, the floating rib has turned out to be one of the places that people tend to meet new people in town .

Many a fight have happened here, it was here in 2005 that Carly and Sam had a very violent scuffle where glass was thrown and a cue stick off the pool table was used and broken over someone's back.

Its not just Carly who gets into scrapes there, its her cousins Lucky and Ethan too, its the place where they ganged up on Dante when they heard he was making a move on their little sister, plus it didn't help that he was working with Sonny, and that he was an undercover cop at the time not that they knew that though.

It was also the place where Anna Devane got so drunk with Luke Spencer she was hanging upside down on a light fixture which mortified Robin when she walked into the place.

At one point the place was jam packed with people during Karoke night where Spinelli sang his heart out for Maxie, and where she  Lulu and Rebecca danced and sang Dontcha by the pussycat dolls.

It was also the setting where a very drunk group of nurses and doctors had a girls night out , it was a night to remember as they all got pretty wasted and had sexual fantasies about Dr Patrick Drake and also bad mouthed Carly. The ring leader was Robin Scorpip who called Carly a tramp and Emily said that Carly and Jason had banged in every corner of the place after houses.

That night when the girls were drinking Elizabeth shocked everyone when they were drinking saying that the procedure to take a tequila shot was lick it, slam it, suck it.

Lainey Winters was told she drank the tequila like a girl bu Dr Kelly Lee and Patrick arrived in the place just in time to see all of his co workers drunk off their asses.

It was also the place where  the men of Port Charles had  their boys night out where they  fantasied about Carly , there was a total ick factor for the fans when Lucky had a fantasy about his own cousin. Eww gross .

The Falconeri girls Olivia and Connie had a fight over Coleman there as well, trading insults with each other, and generally being bitches to each other. I think Connie was vile to Olivia for insulting her fashion sense, and accusing her of going after Coleman who she was dating at the time

It was also the place where Coleman  spent his time chatting up the women , and one night Carly told him that Coleman knows how Jason feels about his hiting on her. Which was absolutely hilarious because both women were not acting like ladies throwing shots of tequila down their throats complaining about Sonny and Jax.

So if you want to have the pefect place where the entertainment is free , and the drinks are flowing the floating rib is definitely a must to go to when you are in Port Charles.
