ELQ is one of the most well known businesses in Port Charles and was started and headed by Edward and Lila Quartermaine.

Over the years many people have tried in vain to take over the company and none were succcessful, because the Quartermaine's do not back down from a good fight especially when it comes to something they own.

They've had some pretty messed up stuff happen over the year, one of their "scandals" was the defective condoms they had had made, people were buying them and using them , so needless to say there were several unwanted pregnancies in port Charles that year.

Their own grandson Jason was one of them that used it but wound up becoming a father anyways. 

In 2013 Tracey and AJ set up rival relish companies as part of ELQ and the relish ended up poisioning people, because Franco had put poison in it

Luke Spencer unbeknownst to his wife Tracey had started a campaign to get a hold of ELQ but he was unsuccessful, then we found out that Tracey had sold her shares to  Jerry Jacks to save Luke's life.

I just don't know , I think Olivia was right when she told Ned that Edward would be rolling in his grave if he knew that Ned gave his shares of ELQ to Franco, and he would be even more pissed I might add that Tracey gave the shares she had to Jerry.

Two whacko's having ELQ shares, its just going to turn out badly , and there has to be a way for the family to get them back.

And if that wasn't enough Michael was ousted as Ceo as quick as he was given the Ceo position.

In all seriousness a new wind is about to breeze in, when Jason comes back into the family fold, my wish is that Jason is the one to save ELQ from ruin and he does it with class.
