The Corinthos Clan is one of those family's that some people love or they just plain hate them. They are known for their tough , take no prisoners attitudes and its not just the adults in this crazy extended family you sure don't want to mess with.

The kids are just as bull headed and feisty as their parents.

Mike Corbin is the head of the family being the father of Michel " Sonny " Corinthos and Courtney Matthews. 

Mob Boss Sonny Corinthos , is a tough nut and you sure as hell don't want to mess with him, if you disagree with him about something, or he doesn't like you, well you'll either be told to take your ass out of town or he'll see it it that you are a sitting duck with a bullet in you and guaranteed you will wind up in the Pine Barrens where Claudia Zacchara once was buried.

Sonny came to town in the mid 1990's and owned a strip club, he got involved with Karen Wexler and soon  she was taking drugs and Jagger Cates the brother of Sonny's young friend Stone let it be known he wanted Karen away from Sonny.

 Jagger managed to do just that and soon Sonny obtained Frank Smith's mob territory courteousy of Luke Spencer. Sonny built his business, made friend with Robin Scorpio and then got his eye on Brenda Barrett.

They had a romance but the viewers as well as Sonny soon discovered that Brenda wore a wire and Sonny was not amused or impressed with her.  

Sonny also had a romance with Lily Rivera, and married her, it was a rocky road at first, but Sonny was happy when they found out they were expecting their first child.

Unfortunatley poor Lily wound up dying in a car bob explosion set by her father's men. Sonny had a massive break down and was so unconsollable

Sonny took on Jason Morgan as his right hand man, and it was then in 1999 he met Carly the two instantly disliked each other, but as we well know in the soap world, you can hate someone one minute , have hate sex with them the next and a year later you are actually married to that person.

Carly was there during a dark period in his life in 1999 when he had a break down, smashed up a glass and hurt his hand, but Carly was there for him. She bandaged his hand, and he told her the story about how his wife and unborn baby died in a car bomb explosion really meant for him.

People can scoff at how Carly and Sonny started out as a couple, they are toxic at best, but when they love each other they are magic. 

They make a good team when they are up against the wall, and when Carly was going to marry Sonny the first time its because he didn't want her to testify against him in court.

Carly was so nervous about marrying Sonny, the first time she actually thought about cancelling it and doing a runner, but Jason paid her $20 for a bet that sh wouldn't do it.

Funny how money talks and Carly listens lol. Reminds me of  Luke and Ethan lol. Those two are always up for making some cold hard cash.

Carly and Sonny fans love the push and pull of their relationship, yea being married to one person four times, really gives you an insight about who they are what they are about.

One thing is clear, if you hear shouting in the Corinthos household, or hear the smash of a glass rest assured , that its Carly and Sonny having a rip roaring fight.

One of those times was when Carly was so angry with him she called him a pig and whipped a glass at his head.  He really was funny when he laughed at how high sprited she is when he ticks her off.  Passionate doesn't come into play here but  a whole lot of crazy does.

It doesn't matter who either of them are with they find their way back to each other.

Carson as the fans call them have seen them go through hell over the years, what with  Mike getting beaten up for owing debts for his gambling, Carly suffering a miscarriage after falling down the stairs at the Quartermaines when she was married to AJ (Michael's bioligical father) .

We've seen the struggle that Carly had when she first met Courtney thinking she was another skank looking to get her claws into her husband , but was pleased when she found out she was Sonny's sister.

The two women had two things in common the Quartermaine boys both women , had been with them both , but Courtney had married both of them.  Their lives kind of parrelled each others in some ways but not so in others.

While Courtney was married to AJ who had loads of debt Courtney worked at Sonny's strip club as a stripper, and when Sonny found out he was furious. Which to me makes him a hypcrite since several other women were doing the exact same thing. It was okay for them to do but not his little sister.

Carly and Courtney formed a friendship that lasted until  Courtney's death in 2006, but Carly made a promise she would look after her son Spencer when she was gone.

In 2002 Carly discovered buring the Port Charles fire that Alexis Davis, Sonny's lawyer and the woman he had had a fling with was pregnant with his child. Alexis begged her  not to tell Sonny.

At one point Carly crashed her car and faked her death, which upset her entire family , but they were relieved when she came walking into the church the day of the funeral they were having for her.

Bobbie and Sonny were so relieved to ser her , they couldn't contain their joy , Bobbie cried, and Sonny well, he tried to reach out to his upset wife but they got back on track

When Carly was pregnant with Morgan  Sonny's brother Ric who just arrived in town, kidnapped her, chained her to the wall of a panic room and planned to take the baby from her and give it to Elizabeth.

The next thing she knew Lorenzo Alcazar, took her , and held her captive. This disgusting storyline was so appauling that I don't think anyone would be as cureal as Ric was to get back at his brother because his mama didn't raise him but raised Sonny.

Then Ric had the nerve , to pretend like he gave two craps about his brother so helped  Sonny and Jason rescue Carly.

In 2003 Morgan was born after Morgan Carly had been shot in the head, this should have been a warning sign for Carly to say clear of Sonny afterwards, however she got temporary amnesia,  and thought  Lorenzo was her husband and not Sonny.

Poor Sonny really had been through it all with her hasn't he , but Carly went back to him after she regained her memory.

It wasn't until 2004 that Carly told Sonny that Kristina was his daughter this ruined their marriage and they got divorced, a messy one at that .

When Sonny faked his death to save his life, Carly temporarily took over the organization, and she freaking went to see the five families herself and she smashed everything that was on the table with a baseball bat.

In 2004 Sonny had a fling with Sam Mccall , Carly was furious with him and with Sam. They had an instant dislike for each other, but it was

a fling that upset Michael so much he actually had the balls to try and get Jason to pay her off to leave town.

Upon Sam  hearing this from the kid's mouth she said to jason " I just got told to leave town by the world's littlest mobster"

This should have been a sign that this young lad was learning some pretty bad habits.

Its bad parenting in my opinion when your son goes around barking orders at someone, and demanding things. Carly never reigned little Michael in and in retrospect, Morgan is now the same way thinking he can boss people around and throw his weight around.

Also Morgan like his grandfather was into gambling and that's another issue that should have been addressed once Carly and Sonny found out about it.

Its not enough to pay someone's debts for them, but its another to nip things in the bud before they get worse

Sam wound up being hunted down by an old flame who was seeking revenge on her for testifying against him in court, Carly dropped kicked his ass like a pro, you would think that a man would have sense enough not to beat up a pregnant woman, but nope Nico thought it was alright to do so, and when Carly saw the state Sam was in she completely and utterly whooped his ass.

In 2005 all three of Sonny's children were kidnapped,Michael even tried to tell his parents where they'd been taken but Faith Roscoe who was working for AJ hung up the phone on him.

Faith threatened to  Morgan and Kristina if they didn't just up and Michael was great he stood up to the kidnappers.

Michael gave some clues while he'd been on the phone and his parents and  they managed to get some leads as to where they were being held.

They didn't find out till the two youngest were returned that AJ Quartermaine was alive and well and had kidnapped the children.   they were lead to believe that the children would be at a church , but they weren't there, Michael even tried to tell his parents where they'd been taken but Faith Roscoe who was working for AJ hung up the phone on him.

It was during this time that Carly's old friend that she thought had died in a car crash turned up being every much alive , and was the fbi agent who helped her find the boys and Kristina.

We then found out that  Reese's father coerced her into having sex with him and she's always felt  guilty about what she did. 

Carly and Sonny were lead to believe that  Michael was dead, all because AJ was playing a sick mind game with them and Michael.

By this time Courtney had been the support system they both needed, and not only that Sonny's baby sister , who now was divorced from Jason , arranged for Sam who had lost her baby to try and adopt a teenage mom's child.

In June 2005 it was during this time that Courtney was married to Jax and was having an affair with Nikolas Cassadine, she wound up pregnant

Also in 2005 even though Michael turned up alive , Carly suffered a massive break down of epic porportions. It was a lot of stress for her to handle when her own son wouldn't open up t her about what happened when AJ kidnapped him. She was left devastated when it was clear that Michael had been brainwashed by AJ.

That same year Carly after being put in a psychiatric hospital Carly managed to escape it , and go for a ride back to Port Charles by train. That train ride all kicked off because Manny Ruiz a known gangster was angry with Sonny and Jason for killing his brother so he started going after Carly who was at her weakest point at that time.

Carly came across Jason who was injured and started having flashbacks about her friendship with him and her relationship with Sonny.

She helped Jason in the tunnel and then managed to get her ass out of there and into the open arms of Lorenzo, but Miss Carly wasn't happy to see him, nor was she happy to be going back to Roselawn.

However Miss Carly was smart enough during the crash to find Max's gun, and protect herself from Manny. Brilliant scenes all around when Carly shot Manny, who then managed to follow her off the train and then tried to rape her, but Carly wouldn't take his crap. She swung a broken metal pipe at him .

He said " Oooh Mama's got her claws out"   LOL stupid prick  should have realised you don't taunt a woman like Carly, she'll come at you with both barrels, knock you side ways, and then you'll wind up begging for mercy.

I would have loved to have seen him be kicked in the balls for even daring to attempt it, but hey when she hit him with that rock lol, I was cheering. 

The perverted son of a gun deserved it.

And if that drama wasn't bad enough , Carly and Sonny managed to work together to stop Manny , from causing Jason to die on the operating table . Carly was held by scalpel point and Sonny showed up to save her neck literally. She managed to escape and Sonny shot him.

Mind you Mac Scorpio who was the Police Comissioner was less than impressed and told Sonny to put the gun down.

Carly wasn't impressed with him doing that either and made no bones about how she felt about it.

Even though their team work paid off Carly was sent back to roselawn and she was faced with the fact she had to divorce Lorenzo Alcazar who she had married while she was very ill, although Lorenzo probably wasn't aware of it at the time.

While there  Luke showed up knowing Carly was looking to divorce Lorenzo and  told her they could get a hold of ELQ stock and share in the money this lead to the funniest first scene Carly and Luke ever had. Luke pretends to be a psychiatrist  a Dr Von schemerman. 

LOL  Priceless , yep that's Luke a complete schemer. If you watch the scene closely Laura Wright looks like she's about to laugh, but she smiles instead.

Carly did as Luke asked getting ELQ shares in this instance but she also  double crossed him and didn't give him a cut in anything. 

This lead to Jax being pissed off that he had to share his hotel with the one person he did not like, and who didn't like him.

Not that, that would stop Carly lol, she's not one to give up at the first hurdle.

In 2006 Carly and Sonny were left devastated when Courtney died from the deadly virus that had left poor Spencer motherless and everyone thinking that  Jax was the father.

Fans sat back and watched with disgust when Carly changed the DNA results for little Spencer, but she had good intentions really she didn't want Helena getting her hands on the baby.

Her efforts were backfired on when Robin discovered the truth and well, Nikolas was pretty pissed and you can't really blame him 

And if that's not enough to drive you nuts about this family then you will have to grab onto your seats from both sides when I tell you between 2008 - 13 this family has seen Michael get shot in the head, recover after being in a coma for a year, then we had to deal with the fact that Lulu's boyfriend Dominic was an undercover cop and Sonny's son .

We also discovered that Sonny's wife Claudia's father shot Connie Falconeri, Sonny found out Claudia was the one who ordered the hit on him that wounded Michael and made him brain damaged. Claudia kidnapped Carly when the truth came out and tried to steal her baby. 

Michael clubbed Claudia over the head with an axe handle and went to prison for it, Kristina wound up abused by her boyfriend and blamed Carly's cousin Ethan for the attack and when the truth came out Alexis ran Kiefer over with her car, He later died in hospital.

We also discovered that the bus crash during a ski trip injured poor Morgan, killed Kristina's best friend and Kristina was a victim of verbal abuse from Kiefer's father and he later was shot and killed by Mac Scorpio

Luly was kidnapped by Franco and also by  Stavros Cassadine, but was saved twice.  We also learned that Sonny shot AJ and he had sex in the crypt with Ava Jerome ( what a total ick fest that was).

Carly was kidnapped by Heather Webber , and almost married Franco until he blurted out that Carly knew Sonny had shot AJ and also that Sonny and Carly were having an affair. This left Michael hurt and angry and seeking revenge against his parents.

Fast forward to now , Ava's baby girl that she had with Sonny was kidnapped by Nina Clay and now , Sonny no longer has custody of the child neither does Ava because she's escaped from prison , everyone thinks she died when she fell of the bridge, and now someone has kidnapped the baby frome the hospital after she fell in her stroller at the hospital.

In February 2015 Sonny got rid of a bomb that was meant to blow up the haunted Star and has been pardoned by the govenor for it.

And Sonny's 10 year old Nephew has become his uncle's champion when Luke was ploting against him, and currently Spencer was burned in a fire at Wydemere and is now in the healing process. 

If you ask me this family is full of drama and ya know we fans wouldn't want them any other way
