The Baldwin family has been a part of GH history as long as I can remember. Lee , Gail and Scott are one big happy family, but yet they have had some really sad things happen to them that made them an even stronger family unit.

Lee was an addiction counselor at the hospital in the 60's and he met and married Scott's mother Meg Bentley who had come to town with the young Scott.  Lee adopted her son and became a loyal and caring father to her son. 

Meg died in hospital in 1965 leaving Lee to raise Scott on his own but he soon met Gail who became a surrogate mum to Scott.

In the 70's Scotty had married Laura Webber only to have it snatched out from under him when Luke Spencer came on the scene.  

Laura was raped by Luke, and when Scott found out he was livid , he became even more enraged when his wife left him for Luke. It was scott's mission from then on to make life difficult for Luke.

He never forgave Luke for having raped his wife, and he never forgave Laura for dumping him for the man who raped her either.

Scott then went on to have three affairs  which produced three children  he had Franco with Heather Webber, Karen by Rhonda Wexler and Logan by Jaqueline Hayes.

He is currently the District Attorney for Port Charles, has had a few victory's under his belt, but the one unsuccessful victory was finally putting Sonny Corinthos behind bars. It would be the sweet smell of success for Scott if that actually happened, however it never sticks.
