Over the years General Hospital has had some pretty amazing storylines where disasters happened on the show. In 2004 the Port Charles hotel burned down with alot of the most noteable residents inside

They were hard scenes to watch as many of the residents were extremely stressed over the whole situaton, people couldn't get out of there, and two of them were stuck in the elevator.

That was when Carly and Alexis were irritated being stuck there together and where the truth about Kristina came out that she is Sonny's daughter.

We also saw the residents trapped in the rooms, trying their best to get to safety.

Once they managed to get out , they got to the roof and were transported a few at a time by Helicopter, it was a sad state of affairs when some of them fell through the burning floor boards.

Thank god everyone was safe.

In 2005 the train crash took place , two commuter trains carrying the newly married Elizabeth and Lucky with their wedding guests, and the other with Carly , Robin and Sam on it.

It was a scary event to take place as Manny Ruiz had stalked Carly and followed her onto the train, if that wasn't enough when the trains collided most of the residents wound up walking around a tunnel to try and find a way out.

Alexis had to have an emergency c-section done as the baby chose that inopportune moment to want to be born.  Also Reese died in that disaster.

In 2006 The Port Charles residents were faced with a deadly virus that swept through the town killing Dr Tony Jones, Sam Mccall's brother Danny and Courtney Matthews.

In February 2007 Jerry Jacks and his henchment waltzed into the metrocourt , and they played mind games with the residents who had been there for a charity event, Jerry who at the time did not reveal who he really was shot Robin in the side to teach the folks not to mess with him.

He then had Sonny pistol whipped, threatened to hurt Lulu, shot Manny Ruiz's twin brother and killed him, caused Alan Quartermaine who already had a weak heart have a massive heart a ttack and he later died in hospital.

The hotel wound up getting blown to smitherines and if that wasn't enough to shock the fans in 2009 the 10th floor at the hospital caught fire when the hospital staff operated on a man who had a deadly toxin in his body.

In 2014  Crichton Clark the facility that held Jason Morgan and Robin Scorpio Drake also was the place where their friends Maxie, Lulu , Dante and Nathan was blown up by Victor Cassadine.  Thank god everyone got out safe.

In May 2015 Nikolas Cassadine informed Elizabeth Webber  that Jason Morgan is alive and well, and he had escaped Crichton Clark with Robin back in October 2014.
